Operation process and specifications for diesel generator sets

The following are safety operating procedures:

1、 The operation of the engine part of a generator powered by a diesel engine shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations of internal combustion engines.  

2、 Before starting the generator, it is necessary to carefully check whether the wiring of each part is correct, whether the connecting parts are secure, whether the brushes are normal, whether the pressure meets the requirements, and whether the grounding wire is good.  

3、 Before starting, set the resistance value of the excitation variable resistor to the maximum position, disconnect the output switch, and for generator sets with a clutch, the clutch should be disengaged. Start the diesel engine with no load first, run it smoothly, and then start the generator.  

4、 After the generator starts running, attention should be paid at all times to whether there are mechanical noises, abnormal vibrations, and other situations. After confirming that the condition is normal, adjust the generator to the rated speed, adjust the voltage to the rated value, and then close the output switch to supply power to the outside. The load should gradually increase, striving for three-phase balance.   

5、 The parallel operation of generators must meet the conditions of the same frequency, voltage, phase, and phase sequence in order to proceed.  

6、 All generators ready for parallel operation must have entered normal and stable operation.  

7、 After receiving the signal of "preparing for parallel connection", adjust the diesel engine speed based on the entire device and close it at the moment of synchronization.  

8、 Parallel running generators should adjust the load reasonably and evenly distribute the active and reactive power of each generator. Active power is regulated through the throttle of the diesel engine, while reactive power is regulated through excitation.  

9、 The running generator should pay close attention to the engine sound and observe whether various instrument indicators are within the normal range. Check if the operating parts are normal and if the temperature rise of the generator is too high. And keep good operation records.  

10、 When parking, first reduce the load, restore the excitation variable resistor to the minimum voltage, then cut off the switches in sequence, and finally stop the diesel engine operation.  

11、 If a diesel engine running in parallel needs to be stopped due to a decrease in load, the load of the generator that needs to be stopped should be transferred to the generator that continues to operate, and then the method of stopping a single generator should be followed. If a complete stop is required, the load should be cut off first, and then the shutdown of a single generator should be handled accordingly.  

12、 Mobile generators must have their chassis parked on a stable foundation before use and must not be moved during operation.  

13、 When the generator is running, even without excitation, it should be considered to have voltage. Do not work on the rotating generator lead wire, touch the rotor with your hands, or clean it. The generator in operation shall not be covered with canvas or other materials.   

14、 After maintenance, the generator must be carefully inspected for tools, materials, and other debris between the rotor and stator slots to prevent damage to the generator during operation.  

15、 All electrical equipment in the computer room must be reliably grounded.  

16、 It is prohibited to stack miscellaneous items and flammable and explosive materials in the computer room. Except for the on duty personnel, other personnel are prohibited from entering without permission.  

17、 Necessary fire-fighting equipment should be installed in the room. In case of a fire accident, power should be immediately stopped, the generator should be turned off, and carbon dioxide or carbon tetrachloride fire extinguishers should be used to extinguish the fire.
